Welcome to the Beaver Dam Hockey Association!

The Beaver Dam Hockey Association (BDHA) is committed to developing youth hockey in the greater Beaver Dam and surrounding area communities, while teaching our players the value of sportsmanship and being a team player. Our intent is to increase our skaters' enjoyment of the game of hockey, advance and grow their skills, and help develop their character. BDHA is a Division 3 member of the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association in Region 5.

Introductory Programs (learn to play)

In our Hockey 1 & 2 and Girls Developmental Programs, participants will learn the essential fundamentals of skating. As children progress in skating skills, developmental hockey skills will be introduced. These intro programs last 7 weeks and are offered 5 times throughout the year. Hockey 3 & 4 is the next step in the developmental sequence to continue to progress skaters and typically for skaters at the 8U and 10U levels.  Hockey 3 & 4 is typically offered in spring,  summer, and fall. Participants can register at any time during the session and for as many sessions as needed. We offer an equipment loan program, though it is helpful if you can provide skates. Both of these programs are free. Click here for more information about these programs.

6U Atoms
As children gain confidence and progress through the introductory programs (Hockey 1 & 2 and Girls Developmental) they will move into our 6U Atoms program. In Atoms, participants (generally, ages 5-6) continue the fundamentals of skating with added hockey skills and scrimmages. Full hockey equipment is required. This program is offered once per year during the regular hockey season. For more information, please click here.

8U Mites (Boys & Girls)

8U Mite players are generally 7 and 8 year-olds and work on building confidence and beginning team play skills. Skaters meet for practice at least twice a week and play cross-ice games on weekends with local associations. Full hockey equipment is required. This program is offered once per year during the regular hockey season. For more information, please click here.

10U-14U (Boys & Girls)

BDHA offers competitive team play for ages 10U-14U for both co-ed teams and girls-only teams.  Click on the link below to learn more. Click here for information about the Girls Wildfire program (8U-14U).
